Default Practice before trading

You need to learn all you can about Forex market, and practice trading before you put your hard earned money at risk. To start with you will have to find and get the forex trading software in order to educate yourself about the workings of forex market. Forex trading software will teach and train you about how one makes and loses money in forex. Provide you the info about various markets; when they open and close. You will learn about all the different currencies that are traded in Forex market. It will help you to get the news and in its interpretation, compare different markets and find favorable trading opportunity. It will also allow you to do fake trades and help in analyzing the results whether you gain or lose money. By practicing trades on Forex trading software for about a month you will gain experience and confidence that will come handy when you start trading with real money.

You can also try trade practicing with the demo account provided by most of the trade companies. Help you save some of your money, and try your hands on it

A test drive would be the correct word to denote that demo here you get the feel of the real time trading environment without actually doing trading it just demonstrate the real life trading without going life.

Its an arguable matter, even test drive will not be a very correct term to use here because from what I reckon "test drives" are done on the real cars (real accounts) and not dummy cars (dummy accounts).

Using dummy account will have limitations and it will definitely limit the learning scope.

What particular limitations can you mention? Are they so serious that will not give me possibility to understand basics?

I guess the most signficant difference is that it's virtual money

Seriously, it may have a deep psychological effect on your that are you trading with virtual money, and your risk behaviour may be quite different there to a real account. So only that you are doing well on a play forex account may not guarantee doing well on a real forex account.
