5/11/2009 Job Losses Hit Six Month Low Job losses have fallen to the lowest level in six months despite a rise in the unemployment rate. 539,000 jobs were cut in the month of April, a significant improvement from the number in March. The improving economy and fall in number of job cuts seem to indicate that the worst of the recession could be over.
